  • We understand that coming to treatment can be an overwhelming and emotional experience. In order to make the intake and admission process as seamless as possible, we have a streamlined procedure that is carried out by a team of dedicated and knowledgeable professionals. If you believe that Sage Recovery Villa may be a good fit for you or your loved one, our Admissions Director, Kristy Westby, is available for all client and family questions and can be reached at our main number, 512-306-1394.

  • The first step of the intake process involves a detailed phone call between the potential client and Sage staff, called a screening phone call. This happens before the client ever enters treatment. During this call, staff will ask a series of questions about the client’s substance use, mental, and medical health, to determine if Sage Recovery Villa is appropriate for each individual’s needs, and if the individual is healthy enough to be admitted to a residential treatment center. Referrals for things like medical detox or psychiatric stabilization services may be given during this time. If the individual is deemed to be an appropriate fit for Sage Recovery Villa, arrangements will be made via phone for admission.

  • Because we want the process of getting high-quality dual diagnosis treatment to be accessible, we are available to help arrange safe transportation for all Sage Recovery Villa clients. Staff are available 24/7 for transportation assistance from airports, detox facilities, or psychiatric hospitals.

  • Once the individual arrives at Sage Recovery Villa, the client will begin the orientation process. We want to ensure that all clients feel comfortable and informed about their stay. Acclimating to treatment involves completing intake, admission, and consent paperwork, thoroughly reviewing a Welcome Packet and Client Handbook with a staff member, screening the individual and individual’s personal belongings for safety, touring the facility and meeting the staff, as well as completing a full diagnostic assessment and medical screen. After the client has completed the orientation process, they’ll join the rest of the Sage community and begin their 35-day treatment stay.
